Support & Troubleshooting

FinderTools requires specific macOS permissions to integrate deeply with the system. If you are experiencing issues or the app doesn't seem to work, please check the following permissions in your System Settings > Privacy & Security.

1. Accessibility

Required to intercept keyboard strokes and dynamically trigger Cut/Paste and shortcuts. Ensure that FinderTools is toggled ON under Privacy & Security > Accessibility.

2. Full Disk Access

Required to instantly calculate heavy folder sizes and perform Secure Erase. If FinderTools is missing from the list, click the "+" button at the bottom of the list and select it from your Applications folder. Make sure it is toggled ON under Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access.

3. Finder Extensions

Required to show the menus when right-clicking files in Finder. Go to Privacy & Security > Extensions > Added Extensions and ensure FinderTools is toggled ON.
